Rental Policies
Check
In
Check in time is between 3pm and 7pm. If you are planning to arrive late,
please call to make arrangements for key pick up. You will receive a damage
checklist upon check in that needs to be filled out and returned the day of
arrival. Your check in office is at Beach Bum Motel 203 9th street,
Ocean City, MD 21842.
Check Out
Check out time is before 10am. Guests shall :
- Remove all food from refrigerator and all trash from property
- Clean dishes and utensils and store them properly
- Lay bedspreads over the beds
- Leave furniture arranged properly
- Check all drawers and closets for personal items
- Close windows and lock the doors when leaving
- Drop off the keys before 10:00 a.m. at Key Drop Box
Guests are responsible for the property until all keys and
parking permits are returned and the property is vacated. If the rental
property is not left in the condition described above, guest agrees to pay an
excessive housekeeping fee.
Reservations and
Deposit Policy
To reserve the unit for a full week, a $70 non-refundable processing fee will
be required along with 25% of your total stay. Another 25% of the total rent is
due 60 days prior to arrival. Remaining balance is due thirty (30) days prior
to arrival along with a refundable security deposit of $150. If you are making
a reservation within the 30 day period of the arrival date, total amount is due
at the time of the reservation. Refundable security deposit of $150 will be
required, and it will be processed within 14 days after departure. Rental
lodging agreement is due back signed within 7 days after reservation is made.
If the agreement is not received in seven days, we reserve the right to cancel
the reservation and return the rental deposit less the processing fee.
To reserve the unit for a mini week/daily rental (1-6 nights), a $35
non-refundable processing fee will be required along with 25% of your total
stay or the first night payment plus tax, whichever is larger. Another 25% of
the total rent is due 60 days prior to arrival. Remaining balance is due thirty
(30) days prior to arrival. If you are making a reservation within the 30 day
period of the arrival date, total amount is due at the time of the reservation.
Refundable security deposit of $150 will be required, and it will be processed
within 14 days after departure. Rental lodging agreement is due back signed
within 7 days after reservation is made. If the agreement is not received in
seven days, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and return the
rental deposit less the processing fee.
This policy does not
apply to June Grad Rentals (please refer to June Grad Rentals link above to see
June Grad Rental policies).
All rates are subject to 6% Maryland tax and 4.5% County room tax. Visa,
MasterCard and Discover cards are accepted. $35 discount is offered if all
payments are paid by cash, checks or money orders in advance. Checks are
accepted if received no less than four (4) weeks prior to arrival date. Checks

If you are travelling with a pet, please let the reservations agent know, as only certain units allow furry travelers. There is a small pet fee charged per pet depending on the length of your stay (see the Pet Friendly Rentals link above). When booking online, please make sure the condo allows pets and make sure to note it in comments. While visiting, you do have to crate your pet if leaving them unattended, clean up after them when taking them for a walk, and ensure that other visitors will not be disturbed by extensive barking etc.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be in writing. In the event that you must cancel or transfer to another unit, you will be charged 16% of the gross rent if the property is re-rented for the full amount. If property is not re-rented for the full amount, the full rental deposit is forfeited. Processing fees are non-refundable.
If you have not checked in within the first 24 hours of your arrival date and not made other arrangements, the reservation may be cancelled and all rental monies forfeited.

Linens and Items to Bring
Most of the rental units do not provide sheets & towels. Linen rental may be arranged through linen rental companies. Otherwise, you will need to bring your own linens and towels, as well as paper products, trash bags, dishwashing soap and toiletries. Kitchens are equipped with dishes, flatware, glasses, pots and pans.
Swimming Pools
There are two swimming pools to choose from: Parrot Bay Condos (406 St Louis Ave) and Jocelyn Manor (207 8th street). Pools are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pools are closed periodically for maintenance without notice.
Parking
Generally, there is one off-street parking space that is included with your unit rental. Larger units may offer more than 1 space. There is an additional parking available on the day of arrival for $10/day first come, first serve.
